September 10th: France Floods the Streets against Macron

Only a day after Bayrou’s resignation and Lecornu’s appointment, the French people took to the streets to express their anger towards Emmanuel Macron's denial of democracy. From high school students to former gilets jaunes, all denounce the growing precarity and demand social and environmental justice. Yet, police brutally repressed the movement and dismantled many blockades. From Rennes to Montpellier, passing through the capital Paris, of course, “Bloquons tout!” gathered between 175,000, according to the Interior Ministry, and 250,000 people, according to the CGT - the main trade union. 812 actions were carried out: 550 demonstrations and 262 blockades.
